Day 2 Tuesday

I lost 1 pound of 25 to reach final goal … 24 to go!

It is important to have a goal or goals. They can be short-term and long-term goals working together. I needed to hit 100 before I could figure out how much further I was going. Make goals that seem attainable.

Rewards are very good as well. I have a couple rewards in mind when reaching my goal. It gives me/you something to look forward to along with the wonderful weight loss results of course.

When Ethan runs in football and track we always say he turns on the burner and gets faster as he goes. Well, I’m turning on the burner, rounding the last turn and nothing will stop me now! Philippians 3:14 says, “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”

Something I found very helpful along the way… even when the scale is not dropping your body is changing. That’s why losing it slowly is good. Your body has to adjust to losing the pounds. You will notice it in clothes becoming loose. I had an interesting thing happen yesterday. I missed exercise class for two weeks because I was in Texas. I came home a few pounds up in weight, but one of the ladies in class told me I look so much smaller than I did when I left. I just smiled and said thank you. Weight up – look smaller…it really is truth!! So be very patient with yourself.
